Laguna Beach has announced its sixth annual artist-designed bench competition.
The winning artist will receive a $12,000 commission to create a bench to replace one at an OCTA bus stop in the 1500 block of South Coast Highway.
The city has five benches based on winning designs from previous contests. This year’s designs, expected to number about 20, are due at City Hall by 4 p.m. Feb. 8.
The contest is open to artists throughout California.
