Heaven has a new cleanup hitter today. Player/Manager God will now move to third in the batting order.
The Holy One’s attempt to keep the team for his own was stifled when Ted Williams looked up and said, “Hey, there’s only two teams around, if you don’t finally let me in, I’m going south.”
Fearing a surge in attendance for His competition, God signed the surly rookie.
