A 25-year-old man who forgot he had left his infant son in a hot car while he was inside watching cartoon movies was convicted of involuntary manslaughter Friday in the baby’s death from heatstroke.
Brian Gilbert could get up to four years in prison. A jury of eight women and four men deliberated two days before finding him guilty. He admitted leaving baby Kyle in the car for three hours last July 24 while he and a relative watched Japanese anime cartoons.
