Jackrabbits move into top position after impressive display in National Scholastic Indoor Championships in New York. (No. 2 last week)
2. Taft (CS)
Toreadors won 1,600-meter relay in 3 minutes 17.94 seconds in National Scholastic meet. (1)
3. Etiwanda (SS-Div. I)
Tony Chavez, Dane Simmons, Kyle Sunderland and Michael Poe ran state-leading 10:29.04 in the distance-medley relay. (5)
4. Dominguez (SS-Div. II)
Hurdler Craig Woods and quarter-miler Jarvis Littleton lead Dons into San Gabriel Valley League opener today. (4)
5. Don Lugo (SS-Div. I)
Raphael Asafo-Agyei, runner-up in the 800 in the state championships last year, and Erick Maldonado, winner of the state Division I cross-country title, are superb 1-2 punch. (6)
6. Dorsey (CS)
Hurdler Jermaine Rollison and jumper Donald Wilson are dynamic duo. (7)
7. Birmingham (CS)
Patriots defeated Thousand Oaks and Westlake in first two dual meets. (8)

Jeff Jacobs won 400 in Irvine Invitational on Saturday. (NR)

High jumper Gerald Alexander, pole vaulter Mike Meyer and discus thrower Ameer Abdelaaty are nice trio. (NR)

Jon Howard and Tommy Sugishita lead fine group of throwers. (9)
