Unruly Traveling Kids
In response to Christina Tinglof (“Most Traveling Parents Are in Control,” Letters, Feb. 17): The crux of the problem is parents who don’t control their kids.
I have a 21-year-old daughter and now a grandson. My daughter never ruined someone’s meal in a restaurant or made a flight to Europe torture because of unruly behavior on her part. My wife and I taught her how to act in public.

I have been continually annoyed by parents who must have their children with them even at adult venues, such as gambling casinos, adult-type resorts, cruise ships, Broadway shows and airplanes.
I am not criticizing children, who are only doing what children do, but those inconsiderate parents who do not have a clue when to leave their children at home.
I am sure many adults, in addition to me, are refraining from visiting adult venues and are traveling only when necessary.
