Brutality Allegations Prompt O.C. Jail Probe
- Share via
The FBI has launched a new investigation into allegations of brutality by deputies at Orange County Jail.
The latest probe was triggered by a complaint from an inmate who claims he was taken from his cell, beaten up by deputies, then threatened with more harm.
“We’ve opened an investigation into possible civil rights violations as a response to the allegations,” said a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office.
The FBI is looking at several other allegations of inmate beatings.
Those investigations haven’t been completed.
