Where Are the Studios?

We are a major U.K. film production studio and read with great interest “G Is for Grosses” by Lynn Smith (April 14), which our L.A. associates faxed to us.
What Smith says is true, except it applies more to studios and not very much to the smaller independent filmmakers. We started down the road three years ago with a very successful book project being adapted to film. To date, it is fully funded in Europe and we shoot in August, but do you think we could get U.S. studios to come on board? Think again.
