Bishop Diego Players Injured in Auto Accident

Five softball players from Santa Barbara Bishop Diego High were involved in an automobile accident Friday on their way to school, and the Cardinals’ afternoon Southern Section playoff game against Van Nuys Montclair Prep was postponed until 1 p.m. Monday at Montclair Prep.

“All were taken to the hospital, and three have already been released with minor injuries,” Athletic Director John Ward said. “At least one will be kept overnight for observation. At least one will not be able to play on Monday.”
