Police Seize Material for Bombs; 6 Arrested

Police said they seized bomb-making materials during a series of raids on Islamic militant hide-outs and arrested six suspects.
The men admitted they were members of Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, outlawed groups suspected in recent attacks on Christians and Shiite Muslims, police said.
Police also seized 30 pounds of explosive powder, 42 detonators and 34 circuit fuses, as well as religious materials, during raids on several homes in Jhang in central Punjab province, 280 miles south of Islamabad.
