Woman, 81, Hurt in Accident Dies

An 81-year-old woman who was involved in a chain-reaction car accident two weeks ago in Ventura has died from her injuries.
Fern Emard of Ventura suffered serious chest injuries in the Oct. 29 crash on Telephone Road, east of Lark Avenue. She was pronounced dead Tuesday at Ventura County Medical Center.
Emard was driving her Chevy sedan when she rear-ended another vehicle.
