Wendy’s Profit Up With New Menu

Wendy’s International Inc.’s third-quarter earnings rose 16% as the No. 3 U.S. hamburger chain attracted more customers with new menu items and more ads.
Net income increased to $61 million, or 52 cents a share, from $52.4 million, or 44 cents, a year earlier, Wendy’s said. Revenue rose 18% to $722.1 million.
Shares of Dublin, Ohio-based Wendy’s fell $1.36, or 4%, to $32.94 on the NYSE.
