Man Picks $800,000 Over ‘Dream Home’

The winner of the Palos Verdes Art Center’s “Win Your Dream Home Raffle” decided Friday to take the $800,000 cash prize instead of the $1.17-million house, art center officials said.
John Moungian of La Habra will receive a check for $584,000, the amount left after the required federal income tax withholding of 27%.
