An Arizona college student has been accused of counterfeiting as part of a nationwide bogus driver’s license operation.
Jason Andrew Miller, 21, of Tempe, Ariz., illegally reproduced California’s state seal and sold it to others who used it to create fake licenses, the state attorney general’s office said.
The fake IDs went mostly to underage college students, officials said. Miller was arrested after an eight-month investigation and is being held in lieu of $100,000 after his initial appearance Wednesday in Sacramento County Superior Court.
