Big Blaze Sparked by a Smaller One

The three-day Moreno Valley fire that burned nearly 1,900 acres this week was caused by an earlier vegetation fire in the area, fire authorities said.
The fire near the San Bernardino County line was reported Monday flames were contained Wednesday.
Embers from a 4-acre vegetation fire that started Sunday blew into the area near Redlands Boulevard and San Timoteo Canyon Road on Monday. The first fire was arson, said Capt. Rick Vogt of the Riverside County Fire Department.
