* Adam Rich has scored 145 points in five games this season, including a 31-point effort Saturday in a 67-56 victory over Woodland Hills El Camino Real in the championship game of the Reseda Cleveland tournament.
* Albert Benson scored 48 points and Jose Martinez had 41 for Independence Owens Valley in a 104-99 overtime victory Saturday over Redlands Calvary Chapel in the seventh-place game of the Joshua Springs tournament.
CLUTCH
* Senior guard Mark Meng made a game-winning shot as time expired to lift Lake Arrowhead Rim of the World past Riverside La Sierra, 50-48, in a consolation game at the Riverside tournament.
* Julius Clark scored seven of his 13 points in overtime to lead Pomona Diamond Ranch to a 61-59 victory over La Puente Nogales in a first-round game at the Glendora tournament.
COMEBACKS
* Santa Ana Mater Dei trailed by three with 1:51 remaining Saturday against Compton Dominguez, but scored seven of the final eight points for a 91-88 victory in the final of the Ocean View Tournament of Champions.
* Sylmar erased a 10-point deficit against defending Division I-AA champion Rialto Eisenhower and pulled away for a 78-66 victory Saturday in a nonleague game.
* L.A. Monroe trailed by 18 points at halftime against Oxnard Rio Mesa in a consolation game at the Cleveland tournament Saturday before rallying for a 52-50 victory.
LOOKING AHEAD
* Several top 25 teams are taking long trips this week. Westchester travels to Fort Myers, Fla., for the City of Palms tournament; L.A. Fairfax travels to Hawaii for the Iolani tournament; and Mission Viejo heads to the Maui tournament.
* Closer to home, Mater Dei is the favorite to win the Irvine World News tournament. At the Anaheim Convention Center tournament, favorites Lake Forest El Toro and Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley could offer a preview of South Coast League play.
