Police were searching Sunday for a driver who allegedly struck and killed a 21-year-old man as he crossed Pacific Coast Highway near Bolsa Chica State Beach.
There were few clues to the hit-and-run accident that happened between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday, said Huntington Beach Police Sgt. John Cottriel.
The man, whose name has not been released pending notification of relatives, died at the scene. He had just left a party at the beach, police said. A motorist spotted his body on the road and called police.
Police said the offender’s car could have a damaged windshield, turn-signal light and front or side panels. Anyone with information is urged to call Huntington Beach police at (714) 960-8825.
