The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in apprehending a man who robbed a Camarillo bank Monday afternoon.
The robber walked into the Citibank branch at 430 Arneill Road about 2 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money, while acting as if he had a handgun concealed in his pocket. It was not known how much money was taken.
No one was hurt, and the robber fled on foot, authorities said.
The suspect was described as a black male, 25 to 35 years old, just over 6 feet tall and weighing 160 to 190 pounds. He had a medium build, short hair and a bandage on his face near his left eye.
He was wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses with a pink tint and a brown-and-white checkered shirt over a white T-shirt and possibly gray pants. He was also carrying a briefcase.
Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the robber’s arrest. Call 494-TALK or 385-TALK.
