McDowell Road, Scottsdale 85264; (480) 837-7779, www.outofafricapark.com. “Twelve miles outside Scottsdale, this wildlife park offers an opportunity to interact closely with happy, healthy animals. Lions, panthers, bears, wolves, tigers, giraffes etc. in a natural setting. Unlike the normal zoo experience. Shows are unrehearsed. We expected to spend a couple of hours but stayed all day, mesmerized.” Admission: adults, $14.95; seniors, $13.95; children 3-12 years, $6.95.
