From Staff and Wire Reports
A student at a high school that was the site of a 2001 shooting was detained Friday for bringing a realistic-looking replica gun to the campus.
The Granite Hills High School campus was temporarily locked down while police investigated. No further details were released. The school was the site of a March 22, 2001, shooting in which a student opened fire and wounded five people. Jason Hoffman, 18, committed suicide in jail later that year while awaiting sentencing.
