Man Hit by SUV Dies in Santa Ana

A man who was hit by a sport utility vehicle died from his injuries, Santa Ana police said Tuesday.
Police won’t identify the 50-year-old Santa Barbara man until they notify his relatives.
He was hit about 5:15 a.m. Monday as he crossed the street in the 600 block of Civic Center Drive, police said.
The victim died about 8:15 p.m. Monday at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
The driver, who was not identified, was not cited pending an investigation.
