From Times Wire Reports
The Greek Cypriot government said it would lift a trade embargo on the island’s Turkish Cypriot north in a goodwill gesture before Cyprus joins the European Union next year.
The move comes a week after Turkish Cypriot leaders opened a cease-fire line that has divided the island since 1974. The Turkish Cypriot republic is recognized only by Turkey and will be left out of the EU.
