Trial Set for Judge in Ten Commandments Case

With his job at stake, suspended Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore goes on trial in Montgomery before a judicial panel for defying an order to move his Ten Commandments monument from the rotunda of the state courthouse.
It would take a unanimous vote of the Court of the Judiciary to remove Moore, who is halfway into his six-year term. He could also be suspended or reprimanded.
Moore’s suspension and the removal of the monument set off two weeks of protests by his supporters, some of whom camped for days on the concrete plaza in front of the building.
