From Times Wire Reports
Highway traffic was slow and some airline flights were delayed as the season’s first significant snowstorm struck the upper Midwest.
Between 4 and 7 inches fell in the Twin Cities area, while Embarrass and Ray in northeastern Minnesota had 13 inches, the National Weather Service said.
The storm was blamed for at least one traffic death, the state Department of Public Safety said. Traffic on interstate highways narrowed to a single lane as snowplows cleared pavement.
Snow also fell in parts of eastern South Dakota and northern Wisconsin.
