An armed robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Blockbuster video store in Ventura, police said Tuesday.
The robber entered the store at 2700 E. Thompson Blvd. about 11:45 p.m. Monday. At midnight, the store’s closing time, the man pulled out a handgun at the counter and demanded money from the cash register, police said.
The robber also ordered an employee to bag several videos he had carried to the counter. Nobody was injured, police said.
The robber was described as Latino, about 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet 2, with shoulder-length brownish-blond hair. He fled the store on foot toward South Borchard Drive, police said.
