General Dynamics Is ‘Pausing’ on Purchases

General Dynamics Corp., maker of the U.S. Army’s main battle tank, is “pausing” on making more acquisitions because it sees few chances to expand its ship and armor businesses, Chief Executive Nicholas Chabraja said.

General Dynamics has made more than $2.7 billion in acquisitions this year to boost its fastest-growing businesses: combat systems and information systems and technology.
