4 Children Slightly Hurt in School Bus Accident

WINNETKA
Four children received bumps and bruises Friday when the driver of their school bus lost control and struck a street light and utility pole, authorities said.
The driver, Marleona M. Brooks, 25, of Palmdale, and four other children were not hurt in the 7 a.m. crash on Vanowen Street near Winnetka Avenue, police said. The four injured children were treated at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and released.
The children were on their way to Lorne Elementary School in Northridge.
