Adrift in aimless whitewater tale

Covering ‘yaking in all its forms for close to 20 years, this mag was the first publication dedicated solely to sea paddling and kayak touring, and a glance at back issues shows articles on places from the Arctic to Turkey to Flathead Lake in Montana. Saltwater or fresh, it seems there’s hardly a body of water that a serious kayaker won’t consider for an excursion.
While the magazine offers plenty of solid information for the advanced enthusiast -- the April issue contains articles on paddling through the fjords in southeast Alaska and a 90-day, 1,400-nautical-mile trip up the coast of Sweden -- Sea Kayaker also emphasizes fundamentals and safety, and provides information suited to those who have yet to venture beyond the breakwater.
