Gangs Suspected in Shooting Death of Man

A man died late Sunday after he was shot in what may have been a gang-related attack, officials said.
Armando Chavez, 21, of Santa Ana was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he died, police said.
Authorities were called about 7:40 p.m. to the 1500 block of North Durant Street, said Sgt. Carlos Rojas.
The attack is being investigated by the gang homicide unit. No arrests have been made, Rojas said.
