We rode bicycles 1,200 miles over a month from Westlake Village to Puerto Escondido, Baja. We took on grueling ascents in high-desert temperatures and slept in surreal cactus forests surrounded by stray dogs. From Loreto, we worked on a sailboat heading across the Sea of Cortes to Sonora, Mexico, unloaded our bikes and flew to L.A.
