TV Newsman Faces Trial in Molestations

A newsman whose face and voice became well known in the Central Valley during more than 10 years of work in television and radio has been ordered to stand trial on charges of molesting nine children at a popular Fresno park.
Nicholas Fanady, known on the air as Nick Ryan, allegedly molested boys in or around Woodward Park since 1995, authorities said at a preliminary hearing Monday. Several of the children said they recognized Fanady from his work on television.
