From Times Wire Reports
A section of a bridge under construction over a Missouri River reservoir collapsed, killing one worker and injuring three others, officials said.
New Town Fire Chief Duane Estvold said the dead man was hooked to a harness and was partly submerged after the steel support structure on the Four Bears Bridge gave way.
The 4,200-foot bridge is to be the longest in North Dakota when it is finished, and at $55 million the most expensive transportation project undertaken by the state.
