SALT LAKE CITY — Notre Dame officials met with Utah’s Urban Meyer on Thursday as they aggressively began a search to replace Tyrone Willingham, who was fired Tuesday.
Athletic Director Kevin White and other school officials landed in a private jet in Salt Lake City in late afternoon and met with Meyer at a downtown hotel. They returned to South Bend, Ind., later in the evening.
