Just you wait

Staff writer Scott Collins’ use of the term “Depends and dentures crowd” to describe older television viewers [“CBS Overtakes NBC in Quest for Younger Viewers,” Dec. 1] is cruel and insulting, and I’m surprised The Times would allow such an expression to be used in one of its articles.

I don’t know Collins’ age, but I can assure him that he will one day join the “crowd,” at which time he may find terms such as this a little less amusing.
