Rescue Workers Deliver Aid to Flood Victims

Helicopters delivered food to survivors and rescued the injured as floods began to recede in the northern Philippines, revealing the devastation left by back-to-back storms that killed more than 650 people.
Soldiers found about 100 dead in an isolated village. In the worst-hit town, Real, in Quezon province, TV images showed bodies buried beneath mud and debris, only their feet jutting out.
Most of the devastation was caused by a tropical storm late Monday. Typhoon Nanmadol then struck the region Thursday.
