The acting game

Thank you for an extremely accurate article written about we actors (“The Conversation,” Nov. 28). I cried the whole rest of the day.

I have been a SAG member for 26 years, and I did not qualify for the health plan for the last three years, missing it sometimes by a mere $150.

As a divorced mother of two, I have “The Conversation” with myself usually during the first week of every month. I applaud O’Neill’s solution regarding “the star” donating $1 million of his $25 million salary to benefit the supporting cast.

Unfortunately, that is where the fantasy of films collides with the harsh reality of the business of Hollywood.
