Land of the Free

After reading “Youth Authority to Review Use of Cages” (Feb. 6), I must agree with the advocates to ban them. So these children are a little prone to violence. The fact that some may have committed assaults, or possibly murder, shouldn’t stop them from having the opportunity to commit more assaults on some inmates who might want to rehab themselves.
And the teachers will just have to fend for themselves and make do. Let’s not forget that this is America, the land of the free, where we don’t want to stifle the creative instincts of some inmates.
