New Year’s holiday closures

Today is New Year’s Day. The following schedule is in effect in observance of the holiday:

Government: All city, county, state and federal offices are closed. City offices in Moorpark, Ojai and Oxnard will also be closed Friday.

Courts: All courthouses are closed.

Mail: All post offices are closed and no mail will be delivered.

Banks: All banks are closed.

Libraries: City and county libraries are closed.

Schools: Ventura County schools are closed.

Trash collection: There are no residential trash pickups in the county; service will be delayed one day the rest of the week.

Public transportation: Ventura County Transit is closed. Metrolink will have a limited schedule.
