Rose Bowl Ratings Up

ABC’s coverage of USC’s 28-14 victory over Michigan in the Rose Bowl generated a 23.0 rating with a 42 share of the audience in Los Angeles.

Three other major markets had higher ratings. Detroit drew a 32.7, Columbus, Ohio, a 28.5, and Oklahoma City a 25.8.

The national overnight rating/share from the nation’s 55 metered markets was a 14.5/24, the highest overnight numbers for a Rose Bowl in the six-year history of the BCS and the highest since the Michigan-Washington State game in 1998 drew a 19.0/33.
