USC (5-5, 2-0) at Oregon State (8-4, 2-1), noon, Fox Sports Net -- The Beavers have quietly put together a winning record, and are looking for only their second 3-1 start in the Pacific 10 Conference under Coach Judy Spoelstra. USC is gunning for its first three-game winning streak. Ebony Hoffman, with 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-55 victory over Oregon, had her fourth double-double.
UCLA (5-6, 0-2) at Oregon (8-5, 0-3), 2 p.m., KIIS (850) -- The road has been anything but friendly to UCLA. Friday’s 82-68 loss to Oregon State dropped the Bruins to 1-5 outside Pauley Pavilion (including 0-1 on a neutral court). Today’s game, while still early in the conference race, is critical to both teams. Oregon wants to avoid its worst conference start since 1995-96, when it went 0-4. UCLA needs to bring the same defensive intensity and focus to the road that it shows at home. Oregon State shot 62% against the Bruins Friday, and was eight of 12 from three-point range.
