Woman Found Fatally Wounded on Sidewalk

Police detectives are investigating the shooting death of a local woman who was found on a sidewalk near Mentor Avenue and Mountain Street early Saturday, officials said.
Janice Louise White, 49, was mortally wounded by a gunshot in the chest.
A passerby spotted a body on the sidewalk about 5:30 a.m. and called authorities.
No arrests have been made, and police are seeking witnesses, Lt. Phlunte Riddle said.
