BOYS’ BASKETBALL
* Buchi Awaji, Los Angeles Loyola: Held No. 8 North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake’s leading scorer, Bryce Taylor, to 12 points on three-of-17 shooting. Vince Oliver scored 29, and Jordan Wilkes added 19 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots for the host No. 19 Cubs in a 72-57 Mission League victory.
* Jordan Farmar, Woodland Hills Taft: Scored 32 points for the No. 6 Toreadors in a 77-60 nonleague victory at L.A. Fremont.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Taytay Hester, Perris: Had 14 points and 14 rebounds in a 52-37 nonleague victory over No. 18 Temecula Valley. Brandie McCann scored 15 and Tamara Huga added 13 points and 15 rebounds for the host Panthers.
