Three Deaths Blamed on Arctic Cold Front

The cold that gripped the Northeast over the weekend was blamed for at least three deaths.
Officials in Philadelphia said a man found in a home without heat died of hypothermia. In western New York, an 18-year-old man died after he lost control of his car on an icy road and struck a tree, state police said. In Brockton, Mass., a 63-year-old woman died in a fire that appeared to have been caused by space heaters, officials said.
