Trial Looks Like a Political Witch Hunt

Re “Bradley Testifies Credit Card Use Was Appropriate,” Jan. 7: All taxpayers should be furious with the prosecutors for conducting a three-month trial over $3,800 in questionable credit card charges and $1,000 in cash advances. I cannot understand how former Compton Mayor Omar Bradley could be facing prison for such a minor matter. Maybe even worse than the wasted resources is the consequence of these witch hunts of politicians: A large number of highly qualified people would never consider running for office for fear of being sent to prison for something like mistakenly charging the city for a round of golf or a hotel room. The whole matter seems widely blown out of proportion.
