SAG Extends Contract of Chief Executive
The Screen Actors Guild said it had extended the contract of Chief Executive A. Robert Pisano by three years. Pisano’s contract now expires in September 2007.
Separately, the boards of SAG and its sister union, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, approved proposals to present studios in coming film and TV negotiations.
Details weren’t released, but health care and a larger cut of DVD revenue are expected to be key issues in talks. The union’s contract with studios expires June 30.
