Chavez Says He Would Submit to Recall Vote

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez told former U.S. President Carter that he would submit to a recall vote, if required.
After the two talked in Caracas, Chavez also said he would allow observers from the Organization of American States and the Carter Center to scrutinize every detail of the process.
“Let them check everything ... even under the carpet,” he said. The opposition accuses Chavez and his supporters of trying to block a possible vote.
