Disney Settles Patent Lawsuit With OpenTV

Walt Disney Co. and OpenTV Corp. settled a patent lawsuit over an interactive TV system that Disney employs during broadcasts of shows including “Monday Night Football.”
Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Disney will pay royalties to OpenTV to use the technology that the Mountain View, Calif.-based company got with its purchase of ACTV Corp.
Shares of OpenTV dropped 2 cents to $1.87 on Nasdaq. Shares of Burbank-based Disney rose 3 cents to $24.73 on the NYSE.
