From Times Wire Reports
The trial of 69 suspected members of a Turkish Al Qaeda cell who were allegedly involved in a series of November suicide bombings in Istanbul was postponed after the court ruled that it lacked the authority to hear the case.
In May, the parliament abolished state security courts like the one hearing this trial, but that order will not take effect for about a month.
Turkish authorities are expected to organize new tribunals in the coming months that will deal with this and other cases.
