From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The county will eliminate 75 jobs, most of them in family care clinics, as it copes with a $2.3-million budget cut.
The layoffs were mentioned as the Board of Supervisors met all day Monday to review the proposed $364-million budget for the 2004-05 fiscal year.
Forty-nine of the jobs to be eliminated already are vacant, due in part to a recent countywide hiring freeze.
