Lauren Jackson had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Sherri Sam had 15 points to lead the WNBA-leading Seattle Storm to an 86-62 victory Tuesday night over the New York Liberty in front of 9,769 at New York.
Seattle used a 41-12 run over a 15-minute stretch spanning the end of the first half and the start of the second to take control.
Janell Burse had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Betty Lennox had 10 points and six rebounds for the Storm (6-2).
Charlotte 59, San Antonio 57 -- Tynesha Lewis’ driving layup at the buzzer lifted the Sting, which has won two in a row, over the Silver Stars in front of 5,004 at Charlotte, N.C.
