From Times Staff Reports
A bone marrow drive will be held Saturday for Kailee Wells, a 7-year-old girl adopted from China with severe aplastic anemia.
Wells’ American parents sold their house and cars in Albuquerque to travel to China twice in search of her family and potential donors. They are now hoping that someone from the San Gabriel Valley’s large Chinese population will provide a match for their daughter.
Nurses will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to take blood samples at the Stars Athletic Foundation, 708 W. Las Tunas Drive. Call (626) 292-7827.
